Hey Delights!
With all the heartbreaking news centered around COVID-19, it would be so easy to get lost in a Coronavirus funk.
But although I am solo social distancing, I have been doing very well emotionally and mentally because I have made it a point to do some very specific things to keep myself from getting lost in the sadness of what we are all experiencing.

Here are 3 habits that I am making sure are a part of my daily routine.
- Immerse myself in gratitude. If you’ve been hanging with me for a while then you already know that gratitude is my life’s anchor & expressing gratitude for the smallest things throughout the day truly makes a huge difference in how I experience life.
- Resting. I am talking about real electronics off, quiet and peaceful rest. Being able to do so has made solo social distancing a gift for me. For one, when I am rested I have a better handle on my emotions and make just better decisions in general.
- Indulging in the creativity of others and being creative. I am loving TikTok (connect with me here) and watching YouTube videos and smiling and laughing and being inspired by at all the ways that others are finding to be creative. It’s why I dressed up on Easter Sunday to shoot the look in this post.
It’s always challenging to photograph myself but it motivates me to keep being creative, something I think we all probably could use a bit of right now. I am hoping to add more videos on TikTok but in the mean time, here is one that I did to one of my favorite sounds.

I also got a bunch of my girls to get together to do the “Don’t Rush Challenge” with me and it was so fun to do. And that has definitely been something that I have needed, those moments of joy in spite of everything going on.
What are you doing to keep the Coronavirus funk at bay & keep your spirits up?
p.s Major shout out to Joe for leaving surprises in my car, baking all the sweets 😋 and making & bringing me dinner like the delicious one above. I love & appreciate you.

What a great list! I agree with all your points whole heartedly. Gratitude is so, so important at this time! It’s also so important to get creative, it makes you still have a sense of “purpose” during all this time. Take care and stay safe!

Hey Celyn, yes! Having a sense of purpose is the perfect way to put it because this virus can definitely make you feel like you have no control over anything.
Thank you and you stay safe too.
