Hey Delights!
I basically took 3/4 of the summer off from working out. Mind you, it wasn’t intentional. It just kinda happened because Joe & I were just spending our time doing other things. So now I am finally getting back into the groove & setting some winter health & fitness goals.
I have written before about how we I truly believe that we all could benefit from making sure we get some exercise in especially during the holidays. The obvious health & stress relief benefits alone are a top selling point for doing so but even more so is the self care of taking time for yourself during what can be a crazy busy time.

So my health & fitness goals for the holiday months are:
- To meal prep my lunch for a minimum of 3 days a week because it is the meal that I either skip or eat the worst for, both which are equally bad. I have started slowly adding some of my prep on my new meal prepping page that features products I use, etc. I am hoping to add recipes and more videos as I go on.
- Get back to bike riding & walking outside, something I love but haven’t done nearly enough for months. This can obviously be a workout but it’s more about mental health for me. I NEED to be out in nature even during the colder months. It fuels my spirit.
- I reloaded the free workout app that I shared last year around this time to my phone because it will be a great way to keep my home workouts varied when I can’t or don’t want to go out to the gym. So I will use it, my gym membership, all the workout equipment I have at home ( my suspension trainer, my bands, pilates bar & weights), the Amazon Prime workouts…you get the picture, right? There are so many options for getting it in. And for me to enjoy it & stick with it, it will need to be all about variety. So, some days it will be 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there. Other days it will be an hour in the gym or a 2 hour bike ride, etc.
- I also will get back to my soaks. Long baths have always been my nirvana. They are of course relaxing but they also help me manage my chronic pain. And there is just too much fun to be had & things to enjoy during the holidays to be achy breaky all the time.
- To get some volunteering in. Being of service to others truly makes me appreciate & value life more. It’s the ultimate health boost to know that even the smallest efforts can make a difference in someone else’s life.
So, those are the ways that I am planning to stay on top of keeping this peach tight 😀 and more importantly make my well being a priority while also enjoying what is the most wonderful time of the year to me.
What about you?
p.s. I have opened a Poshmark Closet…more coming soon!

I’m trying to figure out some health and fitness goals too! I stopped taking so many lyfts and ubers so I can walk more and take the subway (save $$)!
Great post 😊

Hey Aurora,
Yes to more money in your wallet for fun things!
I love walking & did it so much more for commuting when I lived in NYC because I hated the crowded transit but I love getting it in as much as possible

I LOVEEE walking outside or going on hikes. It’s so nice to connect with nature and put the phone down for a while. My walks typically end up being longer than I expected which always makes me feel good. Keep up the good work!

Yes. It’s so easy to get lost in nature, especially this time of the year. 😊

I love going to Orange Theory because I know friends there and they charge me within 8 hours if I don’t show up, huge incentive for me to not push snooze! I love meal prepping a few meals a week as well like you mentioned, that helps a lot and to have healthy snacks at the ready.
I am loving this workout gear girl, you look great!!

Hey Sierra!
I agree. Putting them out there and in writing adds to me holding myself accountable.

I’ve always been a sporty girl (also used to be a competitive athlete) and nowadays I try to train 5-7 times per week. I’ve focused on running but now it’s banned for several months from me (health reasons) so I power walk instead. I also love to dance and now my goal is to get more flexibility and muscle.
Thank you for sharing the inspiration -and you look gorgeous in this workout gear! ♡

Hey Mira!
Thanks and I have always been a sporty type also but as I am nearing my 50th turn around the sun, I have moved my focus to working to maintain flexibility and function. But I love running, mainly on the treadmill. I have walked a marathon in Alaska and countless 5k’s etc but I know for me, having chronic pain, it is something I have to really be logical about.
