#Rock10For30 Day 1 Look, The 10 Pieces and The Rules

Alrighty!

Day 1 of my Spring challenge & mother nature is being her trickster self & there is ice & snow on the ground.

Sighh…heavy sighhhhh…

Anyway, I am gonna work what I have to work with.

The 10 Pieces:

Seeing the pieces hanging on this garment rack, this challenge almost feels undoable LOL, I mean it doesn’t look like much here but of course, that is part of the fun. :0)

Anyway, unlike last time, this time around, I didn’t want to play it too safe, so I went with several bright, bold pieces like this orange lace skirt, which is one of the three newly purchased pieces that I am including.

I also have a pair of dark wash jeans (last seen here), a labworks faux wrap skirt (not new but never worn & sold out but here is a similar one), a black thin strap dress (not new and worn a lot but never on the blog), a cobalt cold shoulder top (last seen here), a green and white 3 quarter sleeve blouse (not new but never worn), pink lace top peplum top (last seen here), a grey maxi dress (not new but never worn), white blazer (new) and white tank top (new).

Day 1 Look:

Today because I went with the jeans, the print blouse & the white tank. A simple look to start things off, spurted by the fact that it was in the 20’s and snow and ice covering the ground.

These jeans are the only pants that I included in my 10 pieces. I chose only 1 pair, mainly because I was hopeful that the weather would be warmer (and it is not) but also because although you can wear the same pair of jeans every day and look different, I wanted the more challenging remix-ability that comes with having skirts and dresses.
The Rules:

The rules are pretty simple…

  • Obviously since it’s winter/spring here in chicago I will be wearing jackets & coats that are not a part of the 10 clothing items.
  • I can wear as many accessories as I want, so scarves and belts will definitely be in the mix and I hope to use them in very creative ways.
And there ya go! Round 2 of  #Rock10For30 has begun!
