{Dressing Room} Radiant Orchid, Faux Leather & More @ Lane Bryant
Although I am on a budget currently, I am still adding a few pieces to my wardrobe for Fall, so l have been hitting up the shops and shopping the sales.
Dressing room posts are some of my favorite to do and I do not do them enough (say that 10 times!!), And since Lane Bryant’s BOGO free sale on EVERYTHING in stores and online is a sweet Labor Day weekend deal, I stopped in to check out what’s in store and share my thoughts on fit, fabric and more with ya.
I didn’t have a lot of time and my phone and the lights that are built into the dressing room mirrors were not playing well together. Oh how I miss this dressing room..sigh…Maybe I will take my camera (I NEED this version with the flip screen) with me next time but anyway, here are some snaps of two pieces in the radiant orchid family, that I loved.
First up, is this gorgeous Lace Skater Dress. It is a made of an eyelet lace that had a really nice feel to it. It is also lined and is an easy wear slip on style dress that I would rock dressed up and down.
I am wearing it in a size 18 and I could have possibly even gone with a 16 but they didn’t have any more in store.
Next up is the Asymmetric Chiffon Hem Tunic. Besides coming in this gorgeous color, it also comes in five other colors and I totally snatch it up in 4 of them (YAY BOGO free sale).
I am wearing the 18/20 and I love the fit and the fact that it covers my tush so that I can rock it with all my leggings.
There were a few non radiant orchid family pieces that I also tried on. Because I am a moto jacket FREAK, I had to try this 6th & Lane Fabric Blocked Moto Jacket and I am bummed to say it but I did not love it.
I own A LOT of faux leather and while I love the metallic boucle fabric, the faux leather just didn’t do it for me. It’s too shiny and thin for me and so obviously faux and it immediately got caught in the zipper when I put it on (pic of me wearing it here).
I also tried on this Sateen Shift Isabel Toledo Dress and it I loved (pic of me wearing it here). I didn’t try this marbled print sweatshirt on because I ran out of time but I loved the weight of the fabric. It is perfect for the coming months and will look great with all the Fall colors.
