{What I Wore} Red Haute & Ugly Christmas

My style goal for Christmas day was to keep it simple and cute. First up was this awesomely fabulous red London Pintuck Sheath Dress (similar black here) from my Gwynnie Bee closet.

It was Christmas red perfect and so comfortable. I threw it over my ASOS Curve Pleated Leggings and rocked my favorite foldover boots of the season (available here and here). And of course I capped it all off with my awesome Michael Kors Faux Fur Coat (last seen here on le blog)!

I also have been “finding” so many things since the move, like this gorgeous Fossil satchel that I hadn’t rocked in forever (last seen here).

And because I was going to my parent’s house to chill with the fam, I knew I wanted to rock something fun.  And what is more fun that a super decked out ugly Christmas sweater?

And while I own ugly Christmas sweaters that I have thrifted over the years, this year I wanted to put my own spin in the theme by making my very own cheeky Merry Thickmas Christmas sweater.

So, I snagged an Ugly Christmas Sweater Kit and of course waited until late Christmas Eve to actually make it (bwaaa). It took forever but I got it done.

I even used a set of battery operated lights to add a little something extra to it.

Yay me!
We laughed hard and long and although they never have food Joe and I can eat, it was a lovely time.
