{What I Wore} Maxi Stripes + A Pop of Color!
Mother Nature hasn’t exactly been cooperating so I went to one of my favorite places to visit & shoot, the Garfield Park Conservatory. They have this really awesome umbrella installation for their Spring Flower Show and it just makes an already incredible place even more fab. If you are in Chicago, it is a must visit.
When I go to the Conservatory, I like to get a few looks in, so I shot this look, the body framing snakeskin detail dress and a fabulous jumpsuit look.
Anyway, this Ava & Viv Sleepless Striped Maxi Dress is pretty sweet.
Dress | Belt: Eloquii (s/o) | Wedges: Here or Here
You just can’t go wrong with this style of dress. It fits so many body types and of course the stripes… It can be worn kicking back at a picnic or dressed up for dinner. A perfect wardrobe must have.
As I have mentioned all over my instagram account, these wedges (which I purchased in 3 colors) are just so friggin AWEsome! Check out my previous post featuring them here.
This dress comes with an attached fabric belt but I added my own gold belt to break up the stripes a bit.
I could spend hours sitting on this bench…
or this one…just relaxing and taking in the smells and sounds…
A couple of notes about Ava & Viv’s fit. In addition to this dress, I also purchased this AVA & Viv Striped Tulip Skirt. I the skirt was my first purchase and I got it online and based on my normal Target plus size shopping, I ordered a 2x and it swims on me. I purchased the dress in a size 1x and the fit is great. I also tried on some other pieces in store and this round of the brand pieces definitely seem to run slightly large, especially the more relaxed pieces like these.
