{Fab Five} For the Weekend | Vol.2

I hope you had a great week. The weather has been all over the place in Chicago but that has only made the weekend even sweeter to me.  This morning I grabbed one of my favorite throw blankets (I want this one!), my tablet, some tumeric and ginger tea, put this cucumber mask on and chilled on the balcony.

Shop: It’s no secret that I LIVE FOR CAPES. Like LIVVEE! I love them so much and have them in so many styles and I am working on a whole separate post about them but I wanted to share this Forever Audrey Cape NOW, before it’s sold out.

I love both of the colors but the yellow definitely is my top pick. I just love the punch of color and how great it would be with all the fall prints, etc.


Wear: And in addition to capes, I love a good poncho. And this is the perfect weekend to whip one out and rock it. I love to layer my capes & ponchos over other jackets, sweaters, etc and adding belts and of course rockin’ my brims. I so love this felt poncho I got last year.

Read:  Taraji P. Henson just dropped her book “Around The Way Girl: A Memoir” and I of course had to download it & I can’t wait to really get into it. Call it a naive moment, but I was shocked to read that Taraji made under 2% of Brad Pitt’s salary for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (a film I LOVE) because she was so phenomenal in that movie. And to read that and the other ways they tried to screw her make me even more excited to get into this book.

Watch: I am still working on Luke Cage as mentioned before but of course my queue is never ending and there is plenty to watch. I don’t know if it’s because of Halloween but I found myself deep in (aka watched more than once) I am Legend and crying once again at that scene, which I wont divulge in case you haven’t seen it…but it gets me every…single…time.

I hadn’t seen it in years but I was reminded how much I love Will Smith in this movie. I also asked my Snapchat peeps this question, so I will ask it here too? Do you ever think about  being the only person alive? And if so, does that bring you thoughts of bliss or panic?

Drink/Eat: All the goodness of this season makes eating the most decadent and delicious things, sprinkled with a bit of fun, a must. So it’s no surprise that I instantly fell in love with this fun DIY Candy Apple Bar idea. Doesn’t it look so fab and easy. My kind of DIY!
