{Five Fab} For the Weekend Vol. 8

I was planning to post a Five Fab For the Weekend last week but it just did not happen with Thanksgiving and travel and all of that. Speaking of travel, I was a little peeved that the cute escape weekender bag I ordered never came because apparently they oversold it and it was no longer in stock but now it’s back in stock but boo on them because it would have been perfect for my trip.

Anyway, I can’t believe it is already December and I hope that you have fun plans on tap to max it out because we know that it will go fast! Anyway let’s get this Five Fab For the Weekend started!

Shop: The FTF x Essie & Kelly Holiday Capsule Collection just dropped TODAY and I am here for it’s affordable holiday glam. Nothing in the collection is over $70 & you can use code AFFBOGO50 for 50%  off your second item until 12/4. This pleated faux leather skirt is just one of the pieces from the collection that are MUST HAVES! Check out my other picks here.

Wear: Mother Nature has decided that with that arrival of December it should feel like winter in Chicago, so baby…it’s cold outside here! So I am layering up but keeping it chill because it is the weekend after all and I will be mainly running errands, like finally going to get my Christmas Tree!!!!!! This is what I wore last year, a lil faux fur, sparkling shoes and boyfriend jeans.

Read: I mentioned in a previous Fab Five for the Weekend how I watched and loved Trevor Noah’s comedy special and he just released his book about his life titled Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood. I of course purchased the audio book because that is just how I am able to best get my books in. And I am particularly glad that I did in this case because hearing Trevor tell his own story with his own inflections and dialect is just fabulous. His story is so interesting but I especially love his mother, who was so fierce & fearless in how she defined & lived her life.

Watch: Last night I watched This Christmas and as a Christmas mover stan, it is always one of my favorites because it’s not just about all the fun, pretty things but about a real family with real struggles but bound by love. It is available on Amazon for rent, purchase (for $5) and on Starz which you can subscribe to for $8.99 a month after free trial via Amazon Prime if you don’t have cable or satellite tv.

Drink/Eat: Ohhh there is nothing like a rich chocolate drink on a cold winter’s day. This Vegan Peppermint Mocha would truly hit the spot.

Yass to the Weekend!!!
