{Five Fab} For the Weekend Vol. 11 – The Last Minute Christmas Shopping Edition!

HAPPY FRIDAY DELIGHTS!

I can not believe how fast this month has gone by and Christmas is just 2 days away.  Yesterday I tried to hit the stores but even before I made it off the train I realized that I just didn’t want to spend my day dealing with the crowds.  So I took myself to lunch, surprised Joe with some lunch at work and then went home and did my shopping online.

I love utilizing the buy online and pick up in store option.  Especially at this time of the year because nothing takes the fa la la out of the holidays like frantic shoppers & crowded stores.

Trust me.😩

So for this week’s Five Fab for the Weekend shop section I have put together a list of a few of my favorite stores that offer buy online and pick up in store options. 🙌

Shop:   Macy’s | Target | Gap | Nordstrom | Bed Bath & Beyond | Crate & Barrel | KmartThe Container Store (additional 15% off order online/pick up orders)

Oh and let’s not forget Amazon Prime Now. I use this A LOT and placed an order last night that should be delivered to my door any minute now. I love that you get to set the delivery window and for the holiday you can order & they are delivering up until MIDNIGHT Christmas Eve.

If you follow me on snapchat, you know I have been in Macy’s quite a bit using their buy online/pick up in store option and that is because the deals are RIDONCULOUS! Like crazy good.

Wear: I picked up these super cute Khombu duck boots from Macy’s a couple of weeks ago for a great deal and they are even cheaper now & you will get a WOW Pass to use on your next order when you use buy online/pick.

Watch: I love all kinds of Christmas movies and confess to watching them year round. My last favorite holiday movies post included several classics & new classics that are still high on my list but I of course have a lot more that I love. I have been transfixed as usual by all the “romantic Christmas” movies on Lifetime (which I subscribe to via Amazon Video for $4.99 a month) and Hallmark channel, although I am sometimes annoyed that they rarely feature anything other than white folks😒. One exception is Lifetime’s “The Christmas Gift” starring Michelle Trachtenberg, Sterling Sulieman and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs among other black actors. I couldn’t find a trailer online but the movie is cute.

Read: As we approach the new year, I am reflecting on the year that we have had and feel even more vigilant in my resolve to not just exist but to have a positive impact. So this week’s read, Bad Girls Throughout History: 100 Remarkable Women Who Changed the World is a tribute to women who challenged the status quo. I actually purchased this in hardcover instead of my usual ebook version because I was looking for new books to add to my coffee table and I think it will be great for it.

I am also looking for other books to display. I realized that I am not the type who wants a bunch of fashion books on display although I do have this incredible one, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty that Sinn gave me but I want books that are more about life and enhancing it in more thoughtful and fun ways.

Eat/Drink: We are once again ordering in our vegan holiday dinner from Whole Foods and I definitely will be partaking in a lil festive, sparkling something to go along with it and this Jingle Juice looks delish.

Cheers! I hope your holiday is filled with laughter and love!
