Rockin 10 for 30: Day 2

Today was way more challenging than yesterday.

Yesterday it was slip the dress on and rock it.

Today, I was home alone so I had to take pictures of myself, which is not that hard once you get it set up but since it was raining and I had to make it work in my in my small living room.

And to top it off, the jeans that I thought that I was going to wear this month did not fit my goodies.

I have been saying for weeks that I know that I have gained weight because I have been living it up.

I am a very social beast and I have been out and about eating, drinking and eating some more…just really enjoying myself.

And well I never weigh myself.

I don’t even own a scale.

I think that it has to be more than 13 years since I have owned one. And even then, I rarely used it. It came with a bathroom set and I thought it was cute…lol..

But really I just don’t care about the number and use my clothes, in particular my jeans to give me a feel for where I am at.

So, needless to say, since its been so hot all summer, I have rarely worn jeans. It’s been dresses and more dresses, and the skimpier the better.

So, this morning, I reached for the jeans, went to pull them up and uh…oh…

Too damn tight

So, at the last minute, I had to switch up.

Thankfully I have a bunch of jeans that were too big for me and so the pair you see today, The Sweetheart from Old Navy were pulled out of that bag.

They are not my desired color, as the original jeans, Old Navy The Diva, {which btw are on sale for $14} were a much darker wash and I felt I could just get more use out of them without folks noticing that I was wearing them over and over…lol.
But they are a regular 18 skinny and right now that just aint gonna do it.

I chose this Ashley Stewart blouse as my solid color top {see it worn before here} because I like the way that it cinches at the waist and I think the neck tie is so cute and it should work well with pants as well as work as a “jacket”.

The sweater is from New York & Co {which btw is has a sweet labor day sale going one} and I fluctuate between a size 16 thru 20 and I shop them all the time, so don’t think plus girls can’t.
But I chose the sweater because its really flexible and it’s not too heavy for this transitional summer/fall season.

The shoes are my Nine West flats, that I really love because they are probably the only pair of flats that I have ever owned that have really great cushion in the heel.
Which explains why I was willing to pay more than 50 bucks for them!

Soooo….I made it thru day 2, and after my sizing issue, I think I had better check the rest of the pieces tonight instead of assuming that they will fit my summer loving body…

til tomorrow…
