Rockin 10 for 30: The 1st Weekend Days 4 & 5

Ok, a couple of things happened this weekend that made me realize that there were a few key things that I did not anticipate when I set out to do this challenge.

For one, my camera is back on its strike, so I had to take pictures with my Blackberry. And I realize that when Dex was taking the pictures that it had to be on some crazy setting because they all look kinda blueish…

And while I checked a couple of online weather channels before the month began, I really did not plan my wardrobe to include any real cool weather clothes.

Or rather, the cool weather clothes that I love, like long jacket vests and hooded sweaters, etc.

So when the temperature was in the 50s and 60s on Saturday, I ended up being way under dressed and without an appropriate jacket in this ensemble.

This is the ASOS CURVE Printed Oversized Tunic and they are not exaggerating, it is VERY oversized! The leggings are from Faith21 as previously seen here.

And because the top is so loose I actually ended up cutting slits in it and working a skinny belt thru it because it just added too much “weight”.

The shoes are from l.e.i

Sunday

As is typical for Sundays in my world, things were pretty laid back. We didn’t leave the flat until after 3pm and hit up a few stores and had an early dinner at Soul Vegetarian. I love their food. It’s so good, especially the tofu roast!

Because I didn’t want to lose an option by adding more than one jacket, this maroon corduroy jacket that I wore on Sunday and have had forever, was the only one that I chose but this might have to change depending on the weather to come.

The blouse is from Lane Bryant.
I have had it for years and I always pull it out in the fall. I just love the colors.
Oh and I realized on Sunday that I hadn’t been showing the bag that I carried, so I will try to do that going forward, although most days its my leather backpack because I need things easy and my hands free.
The bag is Marc Echo Red and the shoes are Nine West

And it was confirmed yesterday that I really don’t like the color of these jeans AND they are a little too big in the waist. Not to mention that a dark wash will give me more mileage and options, so I am switching them out.

Is that breaking the rules? lol…

I am looking at it as a substitution for the last minute substitution because they are just not working for me.

So, expect to see a different pair of jeans going forward.

This week I have to make sure that I am conscious of my schedule because I have a couple of fashion events and I am going on holiday at the end of the week and I need to make sure that for example, I am not wearing my black slinky dress while traveling in the car for 3 hours…

‘Til tomorrow…
