{Luxaholic} Decking The Halls: DIY Joy Sign & More
Just sharing a little bit of the Christmas vibe here at the flat.
I wanted to keep everything pretty simple and modern but still with a Christmas feel by adding little vignettes of holiday cheer.
And since the majority of my stuff is tucked away in storage, I had no choice but to do a little shopping (wink..wink)
This is the view down the hallway near the front door during the day.

Moroccan Lantern: Z Gallerie. I love this gold one and
here is a similar smaller one.

Note: there isn’t an electric outlet near the door,
so I used battery operated lights (similar here) to add light to the area.
I love the simplicity of the DIY JOY sign. It was crazy easy to do.
I used canvas panels (similar) that I have had forever, red and white straws
(similar here & here) from the devil section, I mean dollar+ section at Target
and I printed out the letters on regular printing paper.

I freehanded the placement of the straws & taped them on with clear tape
and there ya go…JOY, JOY…
This is the wreath (from Target) that I placed on said front door. I was going to attempt
a DIY for this based on this pin but the goal was to keep things simple so I was happy
to find this one on sale. I was also really glad to find the clear wreath hanger (similar).
And this is my vibrant red blinged out bedside Christmas tree (also from Target).
And you can just barely see in the left lower corner that I have lights draped over
the headboard. The bed wasn’t made, so it did not make the picture (haha)!
I also DIY’d an Advent calendar from these simple items. More on that to come.
Merry…merry…
How are you decorating this season? Have you gotten your DIY on?
