{Luxaholic} Scenting My Faux Tree w/ ScentSicles!

I normally get a real xmas tree but this year because we lack the space in our apartment, we are going with the one that we purchased for the wee one a couple of years ago.

And not to be a scrooge but plastic trees are just not my thang but I have appeased myself with these awesome little ScentSicles scented ornaments that take away some of the fake sting!

I was a little skeptical when I saw them online but desperate times call for desperate measures, so I ordered them and I am glad that I did.

These little babies really smell like spruce! The instructions say that you should initially place 4 of them on the tree but I used 3 and they were more than enough.

So, in the dark of night with just the lights sparkling, our little faux tree feels just like the real thing.

Ahh…

As far as decorations go, I am usually a very over the top kinda girl, hundreds of lights and all these fancy ornaments, etc that I spent way too much money on.  But this year, we went to my storage to get some of my decorations (and I have A LOT) but after moving a few boxes around and opening a couple, the thought of going thru any more was a huge turn off.

So we kept the tree decorations simple, a bright star tree topper, silver balls, a string of lights woven thru the middle and the faux silver icicles from the previous year, which you can never completely get out of the tree.

This look is simple and completely in line with my whole minimalist Christmas vibe this year and I like it that way. Next year I would love to have one of these trees! I love it!
