Hey Delights!
Last weekend I did something that I am still chiding myself about not doing before. It was Day 13 of #OctLiveWithJoy & the prompt was “Cozy”. We were supposed to go to the movies but neither one of us felt like driving there. So I decided to pull out some of my throws & pillows, pop some 🍿 & get cozy on the balcony for a little Netflix & chill. It was a great reminder that you can create an oasis anywhere.

And it was truly one of the best things that I have done in a long time. After I posted this picture & videos on my Instagram stories, I got a lot of “I wish I had that space” comments. So I wanted to remind you ladies as we welcome a new weekend, that we all can create an oasis in our homes.
You could buy a canopy and put it over your bed. I have had this sheer gauze canopy for quite a few years and it was definitely worth the money. And I love snuggling up on a bunch of pillows with soft covers. Most of my covers are some variation of faux fur and it just adds to the cozy, oasis vibe.
You could light candles everywhere. I am admittedly a bit obsessed but candles can instantly create an amazing mood in a space. This capri blue candle (seen here in the old red class jar and above in the iridescent jar) is still a fave. I pretty much burned it all so I put a plain tea light in it and it still burns off the scent from the remaining wax.
Lately I have also been burning Scentsational wax melts and I love them. I get mine from Walmart but they also have some scents on Amazon. And they have some really cute wax warmers. I use the ones that get their heat from tea light candles and I have a larger one that is heated by a light bulb.
And string some lights. People like to sarcastically call them Christmas lights but I have a variety of lights like my owl string lights (similar). I use them year round. It’s so nice, especially at night and during this time of the year when it gets dark earlier, to have that twinkle of light.
These are just a few of the ways that you create on oasis anywhere within your home. Spend some time thinking about what you love and keep those things around you for an every day oasis vibe.
