{What I Wore} Pink Velvet
Hey Delights!
I am sure by now that it is pretty obvious that I love velvet. So when Shein offered to send me a few pieces to review weeks back, I honed in on sweaters and the plus size velvet pieces that they had. This ruffle trim velvet dress & a high waist velvet skirt were two of the pieces that I chose.

In case you are not familiar, Shein is essentially what I would compare to a global version of say a Rainbow and a couple of steps down ASOS. I originally thought that they were a foreign company but per their site, they were started in North Brunswick, New Jersey in 2008. They have now grown on a global scale and they ship to over 80 countries.
Basically they are an online source where you can get trendy pieces on the cheap. The quality & sizing from some of the reviews that I have seen can be hit or miss. But the pieces that I received are spot on in both respects. The sizes were great and the fabrics are good for the price point.
And for me the success to shopping fast fashion trends is to always consider the style & fabrics of the pieces. For example, I choose silhouettes like this wrap dress and the a-line skirt because you can rarely go wrong with those shapes no matter where you buy them. And velvet is a fabric that you can pretty much always depend on no matter how thin it is simply because of the nature of the fabric. It is lush even in it’s cheapest versions.
