{What I Wore} Stripes & Curves Forever

I have said it before but it bears repeating. Plus size fashion has come so far. It is so amazing that we get to rock the pieces that we do now especially considering the kind of options we had just 5 years ago.  So I always appreciate moments when I instantly fall in love with a piece like I did this striped dress. It also comes in a black and white combo which is always classic. But I didn’t purchase it in that color because I own this dress, which is almost identical.

And since one of my style goals for 2018 is to add even more color and prints to my closet, this red and navy was a perfect addition. Mainly because I as much as I love red, I don’t own a lot of pieces that are red plus another color. Normally I just let the red stand on it’s own. But if I find more pieces that rock the red in great ways with other colors, I will definitely consider adding them to my wardrobe.

The fabric is a great weight and I love how the stripes frame and hug my curves in all the right places. I added my new favorite white booties, (last seen here) to add a contrasting pop because I realized that I don’t own any red or navy shoes, something I need to change ASAP.

Did you make any style goals for this year?

I am so ready for real Spring to sprang. I am beyond ready to closet my multi-layers and coats and pull out the florals and flowy pieces.

I have already started adding more warm weather pieces to the new “shop my favorites” section on the new home page of the site. And there is some good stuff like these faux leather shorts, which if you have been reading the blog for even a hot minute, you know I HAVE TO HAVE!
