{What I Wore} Dramatic Golden Velvet

Yesterday I ventured out downtown to run some errands and I happened upon this amazing mural on the side of the Chicago Cultural Center aka The People’s Palace and knew I had to get a shot in front of it.

I purchased this drama sleeve coat (also still available in green) way back in Sept of last year along with the navy peplum caped jacket that I have worn many times & this grey coat but I never wore it until yesterday. It is an amazing coat although I have to move the button at the breast area to accommodate my girls and I love the contrast of it against the golden color of my faux suede moto jacket.

Finally pulled this yellow beauty out and rocked it over my super soft mustard faux suede moto jacket. The coat is currently on sale & under $50 & the jacket is under $25. The mural honors 20 women who have shaped the Chicago’s vibrant arts and culture landscape and includes the amazing Oprah Winfrey and Gwendolyn Brooks.
