{Life} Where I Stand – November 2017 Recap
December has arrived with a bang and although it feels like it is already moving way too fast, I am super excited. We picked our tree up last weekend and I am in the process of getting it all decorated. But even as it sits bare and fragrant as I am writing this post, it still just makes me smile.

Anyway, I am writing this recap later than I originally planned but I am not stressed by that. My goal is simply to keep moving forward and get the things done and not fret and regret.
Blog: I think I have narrowed down the template that I will use for the site when I move it to WordPress. It will still be pretty white because I think that is just easier on the eyes. And it also goes well with any and every other color. For the most part I have used red and black as the pop colors against the white and that will probably be the same also. But I have done some research and think I have settled in on it.
I also had a goal to start expanding the type of content that I share and I think that I am well on my way to doing so. Over the past few weeks since the original goals post, I have posted about my holiday decor, a really great blogging and social media tool, a fun event that I am co-hosting here in Chicago and there are other posts about a variety of topics in the works.
I also wanted to revamp my shop page and I have done so by adding categories and I hope my new site will allow me to make that even better. I have also added links in the sidebar to the furniture, accessories, etc that I own and post either here on the blog or via my social media pages.
Business: So the goal that I posted of dropping the t-shirt design by the end of November did not happen. I was disappointed and literally was working on it Nov 30th but just could not get it the way that I wanted it. I had also spent lots of time researching printers and shirts because I really want it to be nice and I am annoyed by the prices for plus size shirts and that some of the best quality and cuts of t-shirts are not as readily available in our sizes. So I am still working on it and while I was disappointed, now I am even more determined.
Life: I wrote about participating in the Oprah and Deepak 21 day meditation and I am happy to report that I completed it and have meditated every day since. YAY ME! I post a picture or video of where I meditate every morning (usually my living room) on my snapchat and insta stories to show that I am still at it. Hopefully it will encourage others to add meditation to their days also. I love having that quiet time with myself the first thing in the morning. It really sets the tone for my day and centers me.
I have found that I prefer unguided meditation, so while I used the Calm app for a minute, they had a tech issue with one of their updates so I had to delete it. I might try it again because they had music that I like but for now I just light my candles, set my alarm (I am currently doing 12 minutes and plan to incrementally increase that) and play music on Spotify. Currently I love the song Calm Rivers by La Reve, so I have it play on loop.
