{Life} December To Do List
When I started writing this post, we were halfway into December and the month was moving so fast. This past weekend I joined my blogger boos for the the Eloquii/Halfstack Magazine event (I recapped it a little here) It was also Joe’s birthday, so Saturday was a long day…a fun one but a long one nonetheless.
Also the other night we were invited to check out the Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier and I totally felt like a little kid again. I was so excited to be there. It really felt magical and put me in such a great mood. It’s like being outside enjoying everything that you love about Winter and Christmas without freezing in the cold weather.
I laughed as my cousin screamed and she and Joe wobbled off the Cliff Hanger and it was just so much fun. If you have kids or are a kid at heart like me, you will definitely have a good time! There is so much to do, from wall climbing, to amusement rides, to ice skating and of course pictures with the big guy. We even took pictures in Santa’s seat when he wasn’t there (shhh…don’t tell).
But seriously, if you are in Chicago you should definitely check Winter Wonderfest out. It runs through Jan 7, 2018!
We ended an already fun evening laughing. We went to see the hilarious Potted Potter, the Unauthorized Harry Potter Experience. It is a two man performance and the players improv skills were definitely tested with one of the kids that they pulled out of the audience. It was so crazy! She literally took over the show. I wish I had video.
BLOG to do:
I have definitely been busy, working on a couple of collaborations with brands and I have also been seriously debating how I want to jump off the new year here on le blog. I have mentioned it before, the idea of creating a new 12 Days of January series but I am not sure about it yet. I created that series because I was inspired to do so while soaking in the tub one day and I still listen to it and re-read the posts because the ideas are timeless and can be applied at any time. But if I get inspired between now and the end of the year which is basically like 12 days away, I might create a new version but I wont force it. I will see what comes and go with it.
I was hoping to drop another Big & Tall post featuring a new years eve look but Sean and I both have crazy travel schedules over the next couple of weeks and I don’t think that it is going to happen. but even if it doesn’t happen then, I am committed to bringing more for the fellas in the new year
BUSINESS to do:
As I mentioned in my November recap, the t-shirt is still in the works. I want to be able to offer a really great product that fits a large range of plus size bodies, so the search for the write supplier continues.
I am also working to add styling services to my brand. I wrote up a business plan years ago and I have worked with clients here and there. It is something that I really enjoy and so I am going to take it from hobby to business in 2018. I have been working with a friend for several weeks, doing a complete purge of her closets, shopping and rebuilding her wardrobe, etc. and I will share that in the weeks to come.
LIFE to do:
We are taking a road trip, something that I haven’t done in over a decade to bring our grand wee ones to Chicago for Christmas. We will be on a tight schedule & driving quite a few miles but I plan to be relaxed and joyful no matter what may come LOL. I will most likely share our journey on my social media profiles and if I get a chance to, I will drop a post a here.
The girls will be with us for a little under a week and I just want them to have a really fun time. They are 5 and 6 years old and I remember being that age and just loving this time of the year so much. So I hope to make Christmas all about beautiful, fun memories for them.
After Christmas I will be finishing up my vision board for 2018. And I am really excited about that. I have created a vision boards before and have a pretty good idea how I want to go about it but this year I purchased this simple 10 step guide to creating a successful vision board for 99 cents. I like the author’s approach and the brainstorming lists she included that you can use to hone in on your goals.
I have probably mentioned it in every post that I have written this month but I am so, so very excited for the new year. Are you?
