{Fitness} A Cool Fitness App For Easy Workouts During The Holiday Season
OK ladies, I know we all are getting busier & a little more excited for the holidays. Our calendars are filling up. Thanksgiving is around the corner. And it is all can be so fun but it can also be a bit stressful. And if you’re like me, you still want to get some movement & workouts in somehow because you know that they help to keep you sane in the midst of all the fa la la la la. Right?
So I was at the gym last night for an hour and I got a run in, which I had not done in forever. But I was thinking about how when it’s cold it’s usually a lot harder to get to the gym. I ended up at there because it is close to my chiropractor‘s office so I figured OK, I’ll get an adjustment and go to the gym. But real talk, I would not have gone to the gym had I not been a couple of blocks away.
So I knew that I need something easier. Because besides getting the motivation to go outside in the elements, there is of course the challenge of time. I think a lot of us are always feeling like we don’t have enough time and looking for ways to get more out of each day.
Well the other day I was scrolling through Instagram stories and I came across a post from PopSugar Fitness. It featured their iOS workout app called ACTIVE and it’s a game changer for me.
- For 1 – it’s free 99 aka FREE.
- And 2 – it has so many different kinds of activities and a lot of them are like 20 minutes or less. There are even some 10 minute options. I mean we all have 10 minutes. Right?
- And 3 – there’s everything from dance to couch workouts (YEP, workout on your couch) to elliptical workouts to bike workouts and I love that because sometimes at the gym, when I finally make it there, I get so bored on the cardio machines. So it’s nice to have some routines to follow.
I mean, how could you lose? I have only started exploring it but it currently has has over 300 workouts on it. You can also join in on challenges& create your own routines which is pretty cool. So I will definitely be adding ACTIVE to my life. I actually put it in my calendar to do one of the 10 minute workouts daily. I also use my suspension trainer at home and I am going to start posting snippets of my workouts on my Instagram stories and Snapchat and under my #CurvesDefined hastag, so you check in with me there.😊
