{Five Fab+} Things I Am Looking Forward To In June

I haven’t done one of these “looking forward to” posts since March. But June is the start of Summer and I have a whole lot that I am looking forward to that I want to share, so we are back at it this month. After hitting the theater scene with a vengeance at the beginning of the year and seeing some really amazing works like The Wiz at Theater Wit, I have seriously been missing the experience the past couple of months, so I NEED to get back into it.
Also Zumba in the park started last weekend and I was right there doing my thing. It was also the Gospel show weekend, so in addition to your usual Zumba-esque songs, they added some gospel to the mix.
June is of course Pride month and I haven’t narrowed down exactly what I want to do yet although I know that I am not going to the Pride parade because the wee one will be here and it is the day that we are celebrating her 6th birthday.
But I will probably go to the Chicago Pride Fest because it is always so much fun. Here is a blurry video of us screaming & singing off key to Deborah Cox one year…SO MUCH FRIGGIN FUN!!
Also one of the things that I love most about my city is the we live off Lake Michigan and have our own river and lots of boating options to enjoy both of them from chill river taxis to speed boats.

We also have Movies in the Park and although it’s usually movies that we have already seen, I always enjoy packing some eats and drinks and chilling out under the stars watching a movie.
And I am going to San Francisco, a city that I have not visited in 10 years to participate in a brand experience and I am definitely looking forward to being back on the Bay.
