Hey Delights!
Little did I know on the bright, sunny, amazing day that this picture was taken, (which was the day after my 48th birthday) that I would become insanely sick only a few hours later. And to make matters worse, I would have to get on an airplane for a quick 2 day turnaround trip to New York City. Which I am sure only added to how severe my sickness became.
Dress: Old: ASOS CurveSimilar in white for $15
Pom Pom Slip Ons (seen here – can’t stop wearing them )

Jacket: City Chic via my Gwynnie Bee closet: (seen here) I have been living in it too!
Thankfully as I write this I am about 80% back to normal but it has been a hellacious 3 weeks. I have been sick several times this year and they have all been brutal. And this time something happened to me that I have never experienced in my life, I lost my sense of smell and taste and it freaked me out. Thankfully after a couple of peppermint steams they returned but I can not tell you how stressful that was. Just the thought of not being able to smell or taste brings me so much anxiety and I am not an anxious person but the thought of it and how it made me feel makes me want to cry. And I made the mistake of googling other people’s experiences and read that some people never regained their senses. 😭. Can you imagine that? I can not!  So I am overjoyed with gratitude.
I know that a huge part of why I have been so sick this year is that I am always a sweaty mess and always toughing my face. A virus’s dream. And as much as I try to be careful and use hand sanitizer, there is always a moment when I am out on transit and end up touching something that I did not mean to because I am trying to hold on in between mopping my face off. But I can not do another sickness like this, so I know that I need to make some changes regarding my health because my immune system is obviously not where it needs to be.
So needless to say, there is a lot of health related things on my to do list but anyway, more re that wonderful Spring day a few weeks back.  We went to see Gifted and cried like babies. Then we went to Vegan Woman Made Chicago and when we left we decided to walk and happened upon this amazing, colorful yet somewhat controversial mural called The Party.
