So much is happening in the plus size world and of course I have to start with the history making Sports Illustrated cover featuring Ashley Graham. This has of course been a long time coming.

Ashley, who posted an ugly cry video on her instagram page from when she found out she would be in the issue, said that she is “Truly speechless!!! This cover is for every woman who felt like she wasn’t beautiful enough because of her size. You can do and achieve anything you put your mind to”

I haven’t watched Saturday Night Live in years but I have taken note that in recent years they have done some of their best work and this “The Day Beyonce Turned Black skit is definitely one of them. It is sadly hilarious and speaks to all the insanity that rose out of Beyonce’s Formation video and appearance at Super Bowl 50.

In book news, celebrity stylist Susan Moses has a new book coming out called The Art of Dressing Curves: The Best-Kept Secrets of a Fashion Stylist that although I have very defined ideas of my own on dressing, I am definitely going to pick it up. I love supporting other women but especially plus size woman out there doing their thang.

I signed up for the So Buddhalicious Buddha bowl weekend experience that starts Feb 20th and I am really excited for it. I have wanted to get into Buddha bowls for quite some time now and this free program sounds like a great way to learn more about it and get into it.
