{Fashion Challenge} 1 Dress. 2 Girls. 3 Ways to Rock It | Beaded Hanky Hem Dress
It has been SOOOOO long since I have hooked up with one of my faves to join me in this challenge (see the last one here), so I am excited to bring it back!
Basically the challenge is to show how 1 fabulous dress can be rocked by 2 girls with completely different body types in 3 different ways.
So I have recruited our new contributor Zadry to join me and we are hoping to make this a regular feature.
Zadry and I have very different bodies and I am taller than she is, so I had to choose a dress that would work for both of us as far as length goes more than anything and instead of going with a neutral dress like the first challenge, I chose this vibrantly colored beaded handkerchief hem dress.
LOOK ONE: We didn’t discuss how we would style the dress but we both came up with a couple of similar vibes like these casual & chill look.
Jaye: My inspiration for this first look was dressing for a day of shopping and summer fun in the city. So I went with a colorful visor and fun, comfortable striped and floral flats.
LOOK TWO: Next we both went with a little black to jazz up the dress for a night out vibe. Z added a moto jacket, open toe booties, a clutch and sparkly necklace and I added my favorite fringe belt and a classically upgraded pleated sleeve top and suede wedges.
Jaye: I love this top so much. The sleeves just make me smile every time I look at it, it is so fun. And the belt?. I can not say enough about this fringe belt that I snagged from Eloquii months back. I don’t rock it often but when I do pull it out, I am always like YASSS!
Zadry: For a night out on the town I opted to spice up my look by adding a moto jacket, open toe booties, a funk clutch and one of my favorite sparkly statement necklaces. And boom! we’re ready for whatever the night may bring.
LOOK THREE: I wanted to do something fun and a little unexpected and Z went with a weekend chill vibe.
Jaye: I added a tutu under the dress, cinched it at the waist with a belt and rocked my favorite studded mega platform heels for a little edge. I love the volume that the tutu gave the dress and the studs on the heels tied into the embellishment along the neckline of the dress.
Zadry: For one on one time with the Hubby I love a softer look, and this versatile dress lets me do just that. For this look I pulled up my hair, threw on a ballet wrap cardigan and pulled out my tan booties. Can you tell I love booties–they’re so versatile & just dang sexy!
