My {Travel} Uniform | Stylish Sanity Savers #JetSetCurves
I love traveling but there are of course some things about it that are highly annoying, so I try to do certain things that will make getting to my destination more bearable.
One such thing is definitely wearing some version of my travel uniform which consists of pieces that are comfortable, simple and easy. So when I get to spend time with my friends at TSA {insert smirk} I can get my shoes, jackets, etc off in a flash and hopefully get through without being felt up and having my brand new things confiscated {insert major #sideeye}. And I always need something to cover my head because only the good Lord knows what’s been on the seats. And of course my sanity savers, my headphones.
Mirrored Sunglasses (similar here, here and a cute heart shaped pair here)
Anyway, I also don’t usually pack a lot of clothes so I pack pieces that mix and match together well, and that I don’t have to think too much about. And I normally don’t like to carry a suitcase or check luggage but since you have to pay for carry-on bags with so many airlines, I have definitely started to check them more because why lug them around when they can earn my money a bit and take them off my hands.
On the my most recent trip (I am writing this in my hotel bed in NYC) I wore the most awesome high waist leggings and super comfortable oversize cardigan from ideel (c/o).
Since Spring is slowly showing up in the parts that I have been in (Chicago/NY), I needed to wear something that would keep me warm but not bulk me down, so I rocked my wicked cool faux leather biker jacket (last seen here) also from Dorothy Perkins (c/o) over the cardigan and threw on a long striped tank top underneath (similar here, here and here).
Then I paired the cardigan with a simple black lace edge tank and my favorite floral joggers (last seen here).
p.s ideel has really amped up their plus size section, giving it a prominent navigation bar tab and adding product regularly. Currently there is some of everything from Spanx to swimsuits to a sale featuring some really cute dresses under $20 and more, so it’s definitely worth checking out.
