{Lifestyle} Vegan Shamrock Shake Smoothie #CurvesGoneVegan

As noted in my the Robert Irvine Personal Blender has changed my smoothie life post, I am seriously geeked to try as many new kinds of smoothie combos that I can think of or find that others have made.

So with St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching and all things green showing up everywhere, I thought this would be the perfect time to whip up a symbolic treat.

Enter the vegan shamrock shake smoothie!

I saw a variety of recipes for this online and for the most part they are all pretty much the same with minor changes in ingredients here and there.  But to bring back that old shamrock shake feeling that I got as a kid when the green thing used to show up annually at McDonald’s, I had to add an element of decadence and the cocowhip truly does the trick.

I can’t say it enough, this blender is just AWEsome!

Vegan Shamrock Shake Smoothie*

1 cup of spinach
1 banana
1/2 avocado
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 teaspoon of raw honey
1 cap full of peppermint oil
CocoWhip
Cacao Nibs

Blend all the ingredients and top with CocoWhip and cacao nibs

*Disclosure: I don’t measure my smoothie ingredients, I just keep adding things until the mix feels right (which is how I do most things in the kitchen) but this is approximately what I used.


This turned out SO GOOOODDDD! I will definitely be making this one again and again.
