{Life} Who Moves 6 Days Before Christmas?

WE DID!
Seriously. I have written before about how crazy small our apartment is and so we reached the point where, while still hoping to buy property eventually, it was either get a bigger place NOW or get a divorce.

Haha…joking…sorta 🙂
So, on Friday, December 12th I went to look at a place. We signed the lease on Saturday, December 13th (Joe didn’t even see the place but trusted me to choose, which kinda freaked me out because I felt like the bedrooms might have been too small) and we moved the following Friday, December 19th, six days before Christmas.

GAHHHH!!!!
Moving day went pretty smoothly, The movers, a company that I have used twice, Coffey Brothers Moving, arrived on time and the movers got to work. I felt kinda bad for them since they were dealing with third floor apartments on both ends but they were professional and did the damn thang in pretty good time.

When they finally left and the dust settled a little bit, I pulled out my winter themed linens and made the bed. It as pretty much all I had the energy for.

And of course as things tend to go with moving, there have been small issues, like we are still waiting for Comcast to hook up our cable/internet/phone, so I am writing this post on my cell phone and when this post goes live, it will be because I either used my iphone hotspot or went somewhere to use the internet to load the pics because the blogger app blows when it comes to that.

Anyway…we also ended up not getting a Christmas tree in spite of my letter to Santa  🙁 because we obviously had so many other things to deal with, so my little red tabletop tree came to the rescue.

But for the most part, other than being beat tired from packing up & moving to a place in less than a week (MAJOR shout out to my rugrat for always coming through for me) and the madness/excitement/fun of the holidays in general, I am STOKED to be in our new home.

LOVE Marquee Letters: QVC | Baxton Studio Glidden Shoe Cabinet

I now have more space then I have furniture to put in it and so many decorating ideas, which for a girl who LOVES home decor, is nirvana, but the most exciting thing is that I now have my own room that I am turning into a huge closet/office/studio.

It is seriously a DREAM come true.
We are living out of boxes & slowly putting things away but I will of course be documenting my progress, most likely mainly on Luxaholic, which you can always access in the navigation bar up top or in the far right sidebar, but some posts will definitely be shared here as well.
Stay tuned…
