{Travel} JetCurves in New York City #NYFW

I went back to my heart home NYC for a few days during NYFW mainly because I LOVE NYC in September but also to partake in a little fun.

This is a pic of the skyline over central park that I have to snap every time
I stay at this particular place. I set my alarm so that I wont miss it.

Here’s a recap of some of the things I did…
I attended the Rewardstyle Empire Hotel Rooftop party. The music was slammin’ and so were the drinks!

Of course I had to represent with my Closet Fete Parental Advisory Curves Ahead tee and you can’t tell in this pic but these t -strap flats are a fabulous faux fur like material.

I also had THE MOST FUN at the Glam Dinner. My table mates, Shae, Mel Rose and the guy who doesn’t want a digital footprint (#sideeye) laughed the entire night! We laughed so much that we forgot to snap pics with one another except one I got with Shae (more on that to come).

I got to take in the city that I love and miss so much every day.

And eat street food sitting in one of the many random street “cafes” that adorn the city.

Day…

And night…

And just sit and bask in the energy that always fuels me…
I also got to see some of my peeps, like my girl Georgette
And snapped pics with a couple of our favorite plus size models.. Fluvia Lacerda.
I attended Plus Night Out (more to come)…

Oh and I hit up the Essence Street Style Block Party…pictured here with Ron Bass. His work is so vibrant and fun, very 80’s vibe.

And finally wore that Rebdolls two piece I snagged a couple of months ago. I close jacketed it because my girls were not about that staying totally covered in the top life.  And I wasn’t about fooling around with it, sooo….

And traveling with only a tote bag meant having a very well edited bag and the little I did have, did not include hair products other than something to moisture my hair, so I did as little as possible with my hair and ended up going from a puff style to a frohawk…

Dress: Dorothy Perkins (old, similar)

And I totally fell in love with pieces from the Carmakoma S/S15 line & I am so glad that the weather is cooler and I can finally wear the jacket and pants that I purchased from them back in July. The pieces are made of a heavily lined, fab fabric. (more to come)

As usual I left NYC feeling both invigorated and exhausted but I can’t wait to return. Joe and I have even talked about once again living there at least part time in the future….fingers crossed!!
