Believe it or not, I actually like working out because In my heart of hearts I am an athlete. My sports of choice are volleyball, basketball & football, so being physical is really something I enjoy.

And being an earth girl, I prefer to flex my inner athlete outside rather than in the gym.  And although sometimes the weather in our fair city doesn’t cooperate, Fall usually provides a lot of opportunity to work on defining my curves in the great outdoors.

So today was the perfect time to throw on my new Rykä Flextra kicks, grab a resistance band, my yoga mat and hit the park.

Brisk walking with spurts of jogging is how I get my cardio in outside for the most part.

I love resistance bands & how you can really vary your workout with them.

In case you aren’t familiar with the brand, Rykä is a women only sports company that has been around for over 25 years. The shoes that they make are scientifically geared towards supporting the unique bio-mechanics of our feet.

Needless to say, I am really loving my kicks. Besides being super cute, the technology that Rykä has built into them makes them very supportive and flexible. So whether I get to work my curves in the park, on the treadmill or in Zumba class, the Flextra’s have me covered.
