{Health} Operation #CurvesDefined
I remember when I got my first apartment at age 19 and I bought one of those bathroom sets that came with a scale so I had one but it just sat there collecting dust.
Eventually I just threw it away, I mean it was just basically taking up space.
To this day, now deep within my 40s, I still don’t weigh myself. I have always felt that the state of my body is less about the number on the scale and more about how I felt internally & how my clothes fit me.
Being 5’10″ish & the fact that I do have a pretty muscular frame as well underneath all this luscious, soft pillowy fatness, historically no one has ever really been able to accurately guess my weight.
The only time, the number on the scale usually comes into play is when I go to the doctor, which I will admit is not often enough but I am planing to change that.
And since I have decided to take on my new health goal that I am calling “Operation #CurvesDefined” (which I have been tweeting and instragraming about) I found the scale at the gym and actually weighed myself.
Also, because while the number is less than expected, it is one of the highest recorded for me.
Anyway, it is what it is. And I still don’t feel ruled by it but I will track it during this process.
I have mentioned before that I have two main health issues both familial, arthritis and heart disease.
So obviously as you age, health issues sometimes tend to escalate, so I am working to keep these issues under control and at bay as much as possible.
And although I was sick and had to take almost 3 weeks off, it’s back in the saddle time.
I walked a marathon, YES, walked a marathon in Alaska years ago and I love the rush that comes from exercising. I feel so I am woman hear me roar after a good sweaty workout 😉
Joe has me working a lot with weights to build up certain parts of my body like my legs, to help with my arthritis.
So, I will do my best to track my progress with ya here on le blog but as mentioned above, I will also of course post about it on my social channels.
