{Fun} In The Sun: Beach Essentials

Spring played a lil trick on us here in Chicago and went MIA but that hasn’t stopped me from planning for summer and time at one of my favorite places, the beach.

An awesome BIG bag with personality to hold all of my, well…random crap is a necessity for me. And seriously, is this swimsuit not the prettiest?  I love the vintage vibe and the high waist. And as much as I love the sun, she can be a bit much at times, so a big floppy sun hat is a necessity. I love this one (and this one). They both are perfect and so like one of my favs, last seen here.

And as noted in my They Say Black Don’t Crack… But it Can Burn post, sunscreen is an ABSOLUTE MUST! And I have been saying for the last couple of years that I need a cabana or a tent for the beach. I think I have settled on this one because it weighs like 10 lbs, so it won’t kill me to carry to and from the beach and the reviews that I have seen of it are very favorable.

And finally, I normally go with a full cover up but I am going to go with a sarong this summer to mix it up a bit.
