The beauty freak in me was ALL IN when shopping network ShopNBC sent me a wicked beauty kit in celebration of its “Beautiful You” Beauty Weekend event that takes place THIS WEEKEND March 23rd and 24th!
And with the slough of winter finally succumbing to Spring (although these Chicago temps didn’t seem to get the memo), I can think of no better time to try new things!
The kit includes products that are every day beauty essentials like mascara, nail polish, etc but all with a little twist, like mascara with argan oil (can’t wait to try!!). It also included lots of products that I have never tried before.

And although I have been sick and didn’t get to play with much, I have already tried a few things.
First I tried the Borghese Fango Brillante Grande over the weekend as noted here, because of my illness, my face was feeling so grungy.
I loved it. It dried quickly and my face definitely seemed to come back to life. I will be adding this to my weekly “at home spa” routine.
I almost let out a little yelp when I saw the iampur™ Relief: Pain Relieving Rub because being sick and coughing all day and night has stressed my normally already achy body out so much!
I slathered some on my neck and shoulders and it really did the trick and BONUS, it didn’t leave me or my blankets smelling like some of the other similar type of products that I have used.
And this time of year my skin can get powdery dry, so I was excited to try the LaRocca Skincare Cellular Gold Hydrating Body Balm.
There are so many other brands and products in this kit and I feel like a kid in a candy store every time that I go to the box and pull something out and you can too!
