{tech} iHome Noise Isolating Earbud Headphones
One of the things that I can not live without as I am jaunting to and fro around town are headphones. Or to be more accurate, noise reduction headphones, because seriously, being on public transit can be so annoying at times.
But I have had a problem because my headphones take a real beating in my purses & bags and the last few pairs have ended up broken in one way or another. So I have been on the hunt for a pair that not only would block out all the noise but also could stand up to my brutal purse life.
Weeks ago, I came upon these babies, the iHome Noise Isolating Earbud Headphones. Initially I was attracted to them because I loved the way that they look, with the almost faux bois design on them. I also dug that they have a woven cord instead of plastic, which besides being really cool, gave me hope that they would be able to survive a little longer.
So far it’s a match made in heaven. They are lightweight, tangle free and they have really held up to the pressure of being stuffed in and pulled out of my bags on a regular basis.
They came with three different pairs of silicone cushions, so that you can use the pair that fit your ears the best. And I love that they are not the type of cushions that come off of the bud housing. I can’t tell you how many I have lost because of that in the past.
They also provide adequate noise reduction, so overall, these are a win. My only gripe is that I just wish they would have come with a little bag to carry them in but I have plenty of jewelry bags so, I have just improvised and used one of them.
But stay tuned, I will definitely have more my thoughts on it.
