{event} Recap: Eden Eats @ Kenmore Live + cookmore.com
I attended a really fun cooking event at the Kenmore Craftsman Brand Live Experience studio with my Chicago Blogger Network fam that featured Eden Grinshpan from the Cooking Channel’s Eden Eats
The “Put a Twist on Holiday Eats with Eden Grinshpan” event featured Eden preparing some of your typical holiday meal items cooked in non traditional ways.
From sweet potatoes with chimichurri sauce to turkey stuffed with stuffing inspired by Mediterranean flavors.
I gotta tell ya, those sweet potatoes were damnlicious.
I don’t think that I have ever had chimichurri sauce, but I will be trying to
put it on everything going forward.
And I don’t eat turkey but I have still cooked it for family dinners and Eden added
things like fennel, pita bread and cinnamon. I love this idea.
The recipes that Eden used (and lots more) can be found on cookmore.
Cookmore is this cool site from Kenmore that allows you to create cookbooks
by posting your recipes and trying/and or putting your own twist on other folks
recipes that are listed there.
They also are giving back during this holiday season.
$1 for every recipe submitted or downloaded on cookmore will be donated
to Sears Heroes at Home – up to $10,000 – benefiting military families.
So, with Thanksgiving being next week, this is a great time to check out cookmore
and submit or download a few recipies to get in on the cause and maybe
even put a twist on your holiday favorites.
