{fab five} link love…renewal
This is my 9/11 post from 2012. I wanted to repost it not only in remembrance of those we lost but for those of us who are still alive. To remind us that every day is a gift, so honor it by living to the fullest!
I wrote about the friends that I worked with at Carr Futures who’s office was on 92nd floor of the World Trade Center and how the events of that unfathomable day affected me.
This year, I am still not posting it because although they and all the other victims were heavy on my heart today, I didn’t want to spend the day as I had in previous years, shrouded in sadness, so instead I spent part of my day focusing on life and renewal…
As Fall slowing makes its way in and we slough off summer, it feels like the perfect time to pamper oneself in various ways..to show gratitude, appreciation and honor of life and yourself.
Our lives are so busy and full and connected to each other with the 24 hour access that we have to EVERYTHING now. And as much as I love this in a lot of ways, sometimes, disconnecting, being alone, taking long baths, sipping hot chocolate with humongous jet puffed marshmallows (which I did today), etc seem almost as necessary as breathing…
In that spirit, here are a few links from my reader that I found speak to that necessity…
