{event} Recap: Hennessy x Futura and Street Art Tour

I love street art and always find myself snapping pics of it as I make my way around
the city, so when my fam at the Chicago Blogger Network hooked me
up with access to this event, I was stoked.
Moi all smiles after my chat with Futura

Hennessy has partnered with the legendary street artist Futura 2000 to
create a limited edition bottle for Hennessy vs.

The evening started off with a meet and greet at Leaders, the Chicago

based exclusive fashion and apparel shop…I love these crazy kicks.

w/ Jill of CBN and Roshonda The Savvy Sistah

Then we hoped on a sweet party bus, drinkoligist included and were
off to check out some fabulous street art in the city.

Our tour guide Nick Marzullo of the street art gallery, Pawn Works, blew my mind.

I kept showing him pieces of street art that I had snapped randomly around the
city over the past year or so like this and this and he knew every artist.

They also hooked us up with this cool little Chicago
street art book, then we hit the streets.
This was definitely the piece that stole the show. It is massive and so graphic and fantastic.
from the left it looks like this but as you keep walking…
crazy right? i love it. the artist is ROA
There were so many cool pieces and I took so many pictures
that there was no way I could put them
in this post, so check them out on my facebook page.
After the tour, we headed over to Storefront for eats and more
fab drinks made with Hennessy vs of course and I got to sit down
with Futura, or Lenny as he introduced himself.
He talked about life and art and the old days and the things that really matter as
he has aged, it was truly awesome and inspiring.
A fan presented a Futura designed record sleeve & he opened
it and began to tag it…i had to record it.
Thanks Chicago Blogger Network fam and Hennessy..
I had a great time!
