{shopping} eloquii by The Limited Comes to #Chicago

As mentioned in this post, I recently had a chat with Jodi Arnold, the VP of designer for the eloquii by The Limited brand.

We talked about her motivation for designing the brand, changes to the sizing and styling of the brand, potential plans for more “shop-in-shop” retail locations and more.

I must say that I really enjoyed speaking with her. She is open and she really makes me excited for the future of the brand.

She signed on to the brand because as she said, it was “really cool that I can start designing where this a real need” and I think we will all be geeked that she has.

Have you seen the new summer pieces out?

I love that there is lots of color and stripes.

The offerings coming for Fall definitely show Jodi’s “eye for a woman’s body” and are full of texture and style and classic details for you to rock in every aspect of your life. Here are some of my fav looks.

When I visited the “shop-in-shop” here at Water Tower, I was really geeked to see
that the collection is front and center of the store.

it was great to be able to see the pieces in person and i am very happy with the quality.

The “shop-in-shop” retail locations also have ipad kiosks so that you can see the entire stock currently available, as only certain pieces will be in store.

I am very excited to see the brand bloom…Some other key things to note:

  • Currently the “shop-in-shop” retail locations are located in  Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis and Washington, D.C. and two more are on the way in St. Louis and Boston.
  • New items hit the “shop-in-shop” retail locations on 6/28/12.
  • The “shop-in-shop” retail locations can generally expect on average 3 week rotations.
  • There are changes coming to the jeans. They will have belt loops, (something that made me crazy with the pre Jodi at the helm first collection) and they will have front pockets.
  • Tall options with an added 1/2 inch will be available in more styles starting this month.

So, if there is a “shop-in-shop” retail location in your area, I would suggest you make it one of your regular stops, as I know I will be.
