today i refused to let the naysayers with their “why do we need a fake, commercial holiday,
you should give love every day” rants taint my valentine’s joy.
obviously of course we should be all love, all the time, but what does it hurt to have a day set aside to have a bunch of love energy swirling in the air?
not a dang thang.
so, have a chocolate and a smile naysayers and keep it moving…
i think any chance that you get to show a little love, and especially to yourself, is a pretty wicked good thing.
so, while i could have been major bummed that my honey had to cancel our brunch date today…
i was not. i decided to be my own date today.
i still blew up all the heart balloons that i ordered.
and they and the flowers i received from my honey yesterday still made me smile just as much.

i still put on the outfit i had planned to rock (more to come tomorrow).
the bright red and leopard print, made me happy all day.
and i took myself to brunch and had a dish called the pancake orgy…
