{celebrities} curves on the red carpet
i love awards season!
seeing all the fashion and bling and just the excitement in the air.
and add to that my twitter peeps,
(who brought the Academy Awards to me via my stream
because i was out on the streets of NYC…thanks ya’ll)
it is so much fun.
and it has been especially fun seeing women with curves walking the red carpet.
i love that my favorite curves rocker of the season,
Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe, NAACP Image Award, Sag Award Winner

(said in a high pitched proud sista girl voice)
worked with a designer who aint brand new to curves.
Tadashi Shoji frocked her in color and sparkle and showed off her curves.
it was refreshing to see that she did not try to cloak herself in shapeless dresses
but instead hugged and framed her assets to perfection.
and pretty dresses aside, Octavia is really my kind of girl..
i love what she said about the designers trying to get in on her spotlight late in the game…
“I’m all about being loyal to the people who gave me free clothes for the publicity tour when there was nothing in it for them. … I love it that the other people are clamoring but when I needed something, they weren’t there,” says Spencer, who appreciates that these designers “really know how to cut for more soft figures.”
“My mom always taught us to dance with the one that brought you,” she adds, “so I’m going to dance with the ones that brought me.”
and yes girl, they brought you well!
