{scene} tis the season in chicago

this past week was a blur…really. the holiday season is always so fast moving and the events are a plenty.

so of course a little shiny, blingy, sequiny style is required.

i haven’t been taking my camera out much lately because, well i just haven’t wanted to lug it around.

going out i have been using my really small clutches (seen here and here)and they hold just the essentials

so, i haven’t been taking nearly as many pics as i normally do except on my windows phone (which takes really great pics) and iphone.

anway, one of the events that i hit up was the rent the runway  chicago blogger network event. it was an evening of bites, drinks and fashion at maxine salon.

here i am with the incredibly sweet maxine who opened her home to us for this event.

with the adorable aramide of the sassy peach, who was all over town modeling dresses for rent the runway

i arrived a little late so i only got a couple of pics before my girl amber and i made our way over to the drake hotel to peek in on the cece and melinda shop in chicago event.

it was pretty much over when we arrived, so we took advantage of the fabulous holiday decor that the drake hotel has for a little photo shoot!
