Lip Lovin on the Cheap

While I know that the Lacura line of beauty products from Aldi {yes that Aldi} has been available in the states since last year, I just happened to be in Aldi last week and decided to pick up a couple of the lip glosses and put them to my test.

A lil background on me and my lip gloss obsession. I can NEVER EVER be without some sort of gloss.

For one, if my lips are not covered I will lick them to death and two, while most days I don’t do a full out makeup job on my face, I just love having a soft colored pout.

At any given time I have at least 4 glosses in my bag and I hate it when I am having a self imposed downsize day and carrying a bag that while it’s giving my shoulders a break, is too small to fit a bunch of them in it!.

So me and lipgloss…we got a thang going on. We are inseperable. So I am always on the lookout for new ones.

The Lacura glosses come in 5 colors.

I purchased the #501 Soft Brown and #590 Espresso.

Here are the two colors pre application. The Soft Brown actually has an almost pinkish hue to it, while the Espresso definitely has a nice brown vibe going.

Here is a side by side comparison of both colors on my lips.

Soft Brown — Espresso

You can see the differences in the colors more on my bottom lip than my naturally darker top lip.

Some people use lip liner on their lips to give them a more even tone but I never do. I like the natural color differences.

Soft Brown

Neither of the glosses are sticky, they have a pleasant smell and the Espresso has a slightly thicker consistency than the Soft Brown.

These $2.49 a pop glosses can hold their own and I must say that they have pleasantly surprised me.
