Hey Delights!
We went on a little road trip to pick up the grand wee one past week. We traveled from Chicago to Mississippi and back to Chicago in basically a day. And while of course all travel can be A LOT, that kind of a trip can definitely be challenging. But although I was (and still am) sick, we had good music thumpin, laughed a lot and I was traveling in chic comfort rocking some great pieces from LOFT. So all was well and we actually enjoyed it.
As I mentioned before, I really love the jeans from LOFT. They are super comfortable and come in lots of styles to suit all of my moods, which are many. For this trip I chose these deconstructed skinny jeans and paired them with this cute embellished sweatshirt. I topped the look off with my newest obsession, my marbled funnel neck coat. It works just as well dressed down as it does dressed up, like I featured in my previous post. These were really great travel pieces because they were relaxed and I could move easily (and nap) in them. And they were the kind of simple chic that I like when I am traveling, functional with super cute details.

Another reason why we enjoyed the trip is because we made sure that we stopped and stretched and even hit up a spot for vegan grub in Memphis. More on that to come. And seriously these jeans though! I have been rocking LOFT’s jeans since they dropped the plus size collection and I am truly a fan. The variety of styles & comfort is a major plus.
But the real bonus for me is that they have a feature that has basically changed my jeans wearing life. I am technically a figure 8, so my hips are much larger in comparison to my waist. So I always buy pieces for my hips, which a lot of times means they are big in my waist. The belt loops on the LOFT jeans have this small extra loop inside of them. It has saved me from the dreaded dipping. I use a skinny belt and it fits perfectly through the loop so, I always run my belt through the one in the back. And wah lah…I don’t have to keep tugging at my jeans to keep them up.
What’s your travel style?
In my next post, I will share a perfect look for New Year’s Eve…

Where you in Memphis? I am originally from Memphis but I travel extra comfy. baggy sweats and tee is all I need. I cant look cute on road trips any longer. I am all about comfort.

We always go through Memphis to get to Southaven Mississippi. And LOL…my clothes were super comfy and practically the equivalent of sweats and a tee but elevated 😉

I love a good road trip. It’s been a while, but I usually like to travel comfy and cute. You never know when you’re going to have time to change with a 1-year-old, so I try to make sure I like what I’m wearing whenever I leave the house.

I feel ya, my kid is in her 20’s but I remember those days.

I agree..comfort is key! It depends on how long the trip is, time that I am traveling , mode of transportation and if I have something to do as soon as I get there. Last trip I wore one of those NY and Co velour track suits for a 6 hr roadtrip at night. But coming back I had on a dress that was comfy and cute.

Agreed, it definitely depends on those things. Thankfully I rarely have a trip where I can’t just rock something comfy.

I am a jeans girl, they are my go-to look. However, I love a distressed over any other type of denim. It just takes any look to the next level. I love the ones you are rocking.

Same. I love a good pair of jeans and distressed is my fave!

My perfect travel style is always comfy! Thankfully that doesn’t always need to mean sweats…LOL Finding that perfect pair of soft jeans is one way to keep it chic.

Most definitely!

When I travel I usually wear jeggings or leggings. I wear compression tights under if I am flying. I like to be comfortable.
